Episode 216 Remaking The Black Hole (1979)

Invasion of the Remake takes the mothership to the outer edge of Walt Disney's The Black Hole (1979). Science fiction had taken off in a big way in the 70s & 80s thanks to Star Wars and Disney wanted a piece of that. Ultimately it proved easier just to buy Star Wars, but this attempt is still fondly remembered by sci-fi fans. Join us as we get sucked into The Black Hole and throw our own ideas at what a modern day remake might look like complete with our own fantasy casting.

Episode 217  Reefer Madness (1936) Vs Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005)

It is a violent narcotic - an unspeakable scourge - The Real Public Enemy Number One! Reefer Madness (1936) was a fictional propaganda film warning against the consumption of marijuana and getting addicted may result in hysteria, insanity, and even death. It became a cult classic because of its hilarious camp, overacting, and obvious misinformation. It would be later adapted as a stage musical which became a large scale television film in 2005. Join IOTR this week as we catch a little Reefer Madness!
