Episode 192 Ghost In The Shell (1995 Vs 2017)
Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell (1995) is a cyberpunk, anime, masterpiece that questions what makes us human. Is it the body or the soul (our ghosts)? The 2017 live action remake starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, and Michael Pitt attempts to expand on this idea. This week Invasion of the Remake explores this high tech world of cyborgs, espionage, and artificial intelligence as we compare the anime to the live action Ghost in the Shell (2017).
